Luna Restaurant Unveils The Garden Bar:
A Stunning New Chapter in South Hill Dining
Honoring Luna’s cherished legacy with an exciting new bar experience- capturing the dynamic spirit of the South Hill community.
Spokane, WA., July 1, 2025 – After a decade of evolution, Luna is once again redefining the dining experience in Spokane’s South Hill by announcing its upcoming addition: The Garden Bar. Thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with Luna’s refined aesthetic while offering an elevated, sophisticated bar experience, the Garden Bar will bring a fresh yet familiar new twist to the beloved restaurant.
The dream of opening The Garden Bar was years in the making—owners Aaron DeLis and his late wife Hannah DeLis had a vision to transform the beloved Garden Room, where they held their wedding reception, into something timeless and truly special. “The thought of transforming the Garden Room into a bar first came to mind soon after we purchased the restaurant. “Now, 10 years later, our team and many of our valued long-time guests are ready for this next chapter. It’s a natural and exciting evolution for Luna, one designed to ensure it remains an integral part of Spokane’s dining scene for years to come."
A Thoughtful and Elegant Design
Every detail of The Garden Bar is intentionally designed to honor Luna’s roots while embracing the possibilities of the future. The new design seamlessly integrates familiar Luna elements—Carrara marble, dramatic chandeliers, and rich, elegant textures—with fresh, sentimental, and modern touches. Lowered ceilings are also being added to enhance intimacy, while lush greenery, a striking olive tree centerpiece, and carefully curated furnishings will bring warmth and energy to the space.
“Luna has always been a place where our guests come to do everything from unwind with a cocktail, share a casual evening with friends, or celebrate an important milestone. In the day and age of metal chairs and uncomfortable hard surfaces, the goal was to introduce a fresh, inviting and comfortable space where everyone feels welcome, while also giving us new opportunities to help create more unforgettable moments. We hope the community will join us as we raise a glass to the next chapter.” said DeLis.
A Reimagined Neighborhood Destination
Recognizing Luna has always been first and foremost a neighborhood restaurant, the Garden Bar will offer subtle yet intentional integration of TVs—allowing guests to enjoy community favorites like Gonzaga basketball in a setting that remains undeniably Luna: elevated yet approachable.
“Our guests have always treated Luna as a place to gather and experience some of the best our community has to offer. It made sense to incorporate TVs in a beautiful, sexy space with a refined focus on elevated food and service.” DeLis adds.
A Legacy of Excellence
The Garden Bar at Luna is more than an expansion—it’s an experience. With construction beginning July 1st, the Garden Bar is planned to open in early fall. Set to become a premier gathering place, The Garden Bar is designed to stand the test of time while embracing Spokane's ever-evolving dining culture. With an eye to the future and an ongoing commitment to honor the past, Luna continues to define what it means to be a true neighborhood dining destination.
